Corn Harvest
36 inches/914.4mm long x 36 inches/914.4mm wide
Corn Harvest was painted on Jute with Rare Earth Pigments ground into artist grade oil paints by John. The jute is attached to the stretcher bars with copper nails rather than staples by John. The jute is sized with rabbit skin glue prepared by John rather than a white gesso which would hide the natural color of the linen and distort the pigments colors as applied.
John collects Rare Earth Pigments from all over the world to prepare his archival paints. The hues are rare and near impossible to duplicate. Due to the rarity of the pigments, John tries to paint with pure pigment rather than mix pigments or dilute them with whites or blacks to lighten or darken.
The painting CORN HARVEST represents 182 hours +/- of work.
Feel free to contact John at johnmakesart8@gmail.com with any questions
The selling price for CORN HARVEST is $2800.00 U.S
Shipping in the continuous 48 United States is free. Outside shipping will be calculated for interested parties.
